About the Farm Grown on the lush slopes of the Kayon Mountain Coffee Farm, this lot comes from the heart of Guji, one of Ethiopia’s most celebrated coffee regions. The farm spans 500 hectares, with 300 hectares dedicated to coffee, and has been managed by Ismael Hassen Aredo and his family since 2012. Located in the Shakiso district, Kayon Mountain sits 510 km south of Addis Ababa and stretches across the villages of Taro and Sewana. The farm is certified organic and takes pride in sustainable practices, including on-site nurseries, shade-grown cultivation using native trees, and natural composting methods. Ismael leads a dedicated team of full-time and seasonal workers, offering fair wages, transportation, and community support projects, such as building schools. His focus on quality shows in every step—from harvest to processing. Kayon Mountain produces both Natural and Washed lots, and this Natural Guji showcases everything we love about the region: vibrant fruit character, deep sweetness, and a clean, balanced cup.
